I've heard a lot of people are gettiing disc errors with this version. I brought mine back and they replaced my dvd with the standard version. We then looked at 3 other dvd's and they all had a pin prick of something in the disc.
Just be forwarned that you might be doing the same thing. As far as the game goes. It's my goty and quite possibly one of the top5 best rpg's of all time.

I'm playing it on PC and I agree with it being a contender for Game of the year. No disc problems though. No copy protection problems. The PC version has a construction set you can download where you can make your own quests and maps.

It is one of the *BEST* RPGs ever made, but on my Xbox 360, it crashes all the time... Anyone else experience this problem? Kind of disappoints me that "Next Gen Console gaming" is starting to feel like the Commodore 64 days.
Is there a work around for this or is it the Xbox 360, itself?

I have it for the Xbox 360 and it crashes occasionally. I don't know if it's the game or the machine...
I think it might be an overheating issue.

Has anyone seen this? It's basically three small fans that attach to the back of the Xbox 360. I have it, but I haven't tried it with Oblivion. (But, I'm sure it's working as advertised.)

You know gaming is going to hell in a handbasket when you need third party cooling products to get a console to work right.

Uh, aside from Windows 98 and Windows ME Microsoft has always made fantastic products. In terms of quality I think very few companies match "M$."
Heh. I still remember the uproar surrounding the Dreamcast cooling system. "HOLY SHIT IT NEEDS A FAN WHAT THE FUCK?!" Man, fans were alien to consoles then. And it was this tiny little shitty 40mm fan to boot.
On a side note, the 360 is air, not liquid cooled, it uses heatpipes which contain liquid.
Heatpipes aren't counted as "liquid cooling." Even the Dreamcast had heatpipes. Hell, my seven year old laptop has them, an IBM with a Pentium 2.

My console works just fine without third party cooling products.
