I just learned that the company i am working for now is located in the building that used to be occupied by Softdisk... I found a closet in the back that contains just about every issue of Softdisk ever released... I keep finding myself sneaking out of my office and searching the building for new artifacts... If you are reading this John, are there any goodies tucked away in the dark recesses of this building?
Working in a piece of gaming history, Thomas Nourse - current occupant of room 29
PS - From all appearances, Softdisk the service provider is dead... The just auctioned off a crapload of office equipment and all they have left here is a cage occupied by a few servers... They left behind a ton of vintage equipment that was not sold at auction-leaving me to believe that they are all but gone...

Its not much to see.. The building is 75% underground with no windows... Lots of cool stuff inside that SoftDisk forgot about.. I've been hunting for that Dangerous Dave in Copyright Infringement floppy.. no luck yet

I'll get pictures up if you so desire... The room used to be the mail room and everybody's name is still painted on the wall... There is a case full of shrinkwrapped copies of a game called In Pursuit of Greed if anybody is interested... A few dozen shrinkwrapped Netscape version 2 boxes... A few binders with software... There aren't too many issues on floppy lying around... I have issues 25 and up of Softdisk for Windows and 46 and up for Softdisk for Mac... I seem to find something new every day... Oh yeah.. and I found Peter Rokitski's nameplate and put it on my door... Still no memoribilia related to id though

Maybe you could take the floppies and copy the data to your PC, zip it, and upload it so we can all check out what the original Softdisks are like...

You would be even more happy if you had an Apple II... I just found the entire collection of the original Softdisk.. along with every Loadstar disk and a few Big Blue disks.. I just wish I had a 5.25" floppy drive so I could post some for you... I also found a few Softdisk for Windows floppies, but the coolest was their archive CD's filled with what appear to be 4 CDs filled with apps the released in their magazines... Also of interest was a 90 page business report from 1984.. I wish I brought my digital camera to work today
PS... I have no floppy drive on my PC here at work, but I will upload issue 21 of softdisk for windows when I get home tonight
