I miss the days when you could bow up someone. Now my rocket launcher just sents them flying.

The game is coming along great.... So far it is an MMOFPSRTSPPRPG. That's right folks! A Massively-Multiplayer-Online-First-Person-Shooter-Real-Time-Strategy-Paper&Pencil-Role-Playing-Game. And it is running on the DigDug Engine. It is super sweet! Come to me for all the inside info! Well, now that John let me reveal to the world what kind of game we are making... BACK TO WORK! We should have it done in about a week. The DD Engine is very easy to work with.

anybody remember Big Trouble in Little China
nobody has explored this type of death in games yet (that i have run across)...
the classic inflation and then explosion of body parts and gibs a-plenty. would be cool to make some sort of matter-expansion gun that shoots like some friggin atom particles you can see them glowing all gnarly and then the guy starts inflating and friggin explodes.
would be hialrious too if u could just inflate is leg and then he stumbles and his leg blows off but he's still alive... (i forget the term, hit points... ehh... u know depends where u shootem and different crap happens)
john if u are looking for a sound designer i would be more than happy to contribute anything you need, music/fx. i've been putting out records for 10 years so i know my shiz!

josh Sorry, he's going with seasoned professionals. No repeats like the amateur bullshit at Ion Storm.

hey just an offer!! you cant get anything by sitting around idle hehe Nope, so start your own company. Become his competitor. Or move to California with your portfolio and start knocking on doors. But unless you have something absolutely groundbreaking, I don't think people are still hired from gaming message boards.

I wonder if Romero and Hall's MMORPG will be better than World of Warcraft.. eek, it'd have to be pretty damn good to be better than WoW, from all that I've seen and heard about WoW! Anyway I'm planning on getting WoW soon.

It's weird that apparently both John Romero as Tom Hall are currently involved in a new company, making a MMOG. However, the games will probably totally different, but it's hard to say because of the limited information both companies reveil.... Tom Hall's company: http://www.kingsisle.com/, Founded in early 2005, KingsIsle Entertainment Inc. is creating massively multiplayer online entertainment offerings that are entirely unique and highly creative, targeted to appeal to a large demographic base.location: both Austin and Dallas Romero: I'm making a PC MMOG location: San Francisco Bay Area near Redwood City
