Yay, let's have a Chrono Trigger party in here! Wh0000000!

Wait......is everyone gone?  Is it too late?

Yep, it's past August 22nd.  But it's still Chrono's TENTH YEAR so we can still celebrate the whole year whenever we want!

So, i want to do something like that right now.

As some of you may know, Chrono Trigger has 13 different endings.  When you finish the game all the way through the first time you see the nice long normal ending.  Then when you restart with New Game+ you can finish the game pretty quickly and see what the dev team calls the BEST ending.

For Chrono's 10th Anniversary, Rhaluka played all the way through Chrono and then started on New Game+ and finished it again to get the first alternate ending - and I recorded it and have it here for you to watch!

I'll have to make a seperate page for Chrono someday where these files can be easily found.

The file is 80mb and 16 minutes long.  Sorry, modem freaks!  And yes, this is a major spoiler in case you haven't figured that out.

http://www.streamload.com/theromero/chrono_ending_2.wmv

The file will stream or you can right-click/Save As... the entire file. Have fun!

I don't want to see the best ending in the game without earning it!

The Playstation version of CT has a lot of fun extras. I recommend getting it if you haven't yet.

My fiance & I have both gotten the developer ending (beat it before going to 600ad), but she did it with Marle confused for just about the entire fight.

The problem i have with the ps1 version is the insane load times.  After playing the snes version for so long, it's just unbearable.

Yeah that's right.. loading times before battles only.  But one thing you can do which I think helps is to turn up the disc speed (PS2 feature).

Almost all Playstation games have long load times. SNES had none.

I disagree with the first statement.. mostly just the first generation of games, but that can be forgiven because the PlayStation was one of the first big CD consoles.

"SNES had none" that's true because cartridge games don't  have any loading times.

Cartridges have loading times. They're usually shorter, but some cartridge games have 'em. If I can remember a good example, I'll post it :P

Oh, I thought cartridge data could be read in a snap like RAM.  Maybe they are-- "loading" times could also be due to processing (generating stuff like random maps for example).

I don't think there are any loading times on cartridge games. At least not SNES.

Loading times are something we're used to nowadays. But I can remember a time when there wasn't such a thing. I don't think there are any load times on N64 games, either. That's why Nintendo stuck with the cartridge for a while.
