    1)Doom
    2)Metal Gear Solid
    3)Gungave
    4)Half-life
    5)total Annihilation[/list:u]

1)- Doom
Reason:Doom marked an unbelieveable change in my life for me. For starters it scared the crap out of me when I first played it especally the Cyberdeamon that stomped around alot, but also this game made me relize how cool it was to go shooting things that were undead. Surely I wouldn't be who I am today if It was not for this..
2)- Metal Gear Solid
Reason:MGS was the first ever game that actually took me deeper into connecting with the characters of the game. Yeah sure people cried in FF7 when Areis died  but not me I didn't feel much for the characters in any game untill MGS. Dunno what It was really, but the sorrow, the hate, and the rest of the stuff that you pitted snake through really made ya feel for him.
3)- Gungrave
Reason:Plain and simple one of the coolest Shooting games ever. When I first played this I was blown away, yes the gaming system was primitive but hey it gave you that classic sonic the hedgehog feel of the game mixed with some really cool music, and stylish cutscense Gungrave Shot it's way into my gaming history. But best of all It was cooler than Devil May Cry that's for damn sure..
4)- Half-Life
Reason: Most people would agree with Half Life, this game made you feel like you were there. The story was awsome, I must of played through this game 21 times If i remember right. I was hooked. The cool bit of it was first time I played it I couldn't stop playin this for a couple of hours. It was addicting like mad! But for best game i'd give this the best overall story in my book..
5)- Total Annihilation
Reason:This game marked the glory of Real Time Stratiges without all that magic crap that you'd find in Warcraft. Don't get me wrong Warcraft is pretty sweet, but this game took all the downsides of Warcraft and made them better. I was amazed by the ablility to build giant artilery guns that could fire one at a time if you wanted them do going streight down a line like something out of a war movie. The countless forms of ingagement in this game made you think, act, and survive in ways that can deal with the enemies combat the best. Overall this is the best RTS game ever..

how much older do you need to be?  they werent very old when they made Doom, and givin the right circumstances could have probably done it when they were younger

Yeah this one's easy:

1)Final Fantasy VII - Absolutely perfect and amazing - just too bad it has an ending (although a good one) - it could have been even longer than it was. Great storyline, great artwork, great soundtrack, great materia system...

2)Final Fantasy IX - Another great game - restored my faith in the FF serie (which was kinda lost since I played the awful VIII). Awesome characters and spells, even longer gameplay than VII, soundtrack could be better - and Memoria rocks big time...

3)Half-Life 2 - What can I say? Doesn't run that well on my PC but it sure is great. Levels are fantastic and offer a lot of variety...

4)Unreal - The first time I played the game I was just amazed - the graphics were and ARE spectacular - the levels are fascinating and the soundtrack is suberp...

5)Duke Nukem 3D - I have been playing this game for eight years (check my site - although it's a bit broken now) now and making levels for it for seven years. It's just fun and Build is so easy to master...

And a lot more (Dooms, Quakes, R6s, C&Cs etc.)...

Well, it is his opinion Unconscious, but I do agree that there would be no Counter-strike if there had been no Doom. In fact, it's hard to argue that Doom should not be #1.
