To tell the truth, i'm not really interested in NovaLogic's stuff anymore. It just seems that one game after another is just a rehash with nothing new.

Yep, but their biggest screw up is the recent games of their Delta Force series, and Armored Fist 3.

lets be glad our fine race of humans are very different and in the gaming industry dont just re release a new update of the same game just with new weapons new levels new monsters mostly same sounds and new graphics
we'd live in quite a monotnous world of nostolgia

for the most part i agree that gaming has reached its limit on being revolutionized by new genre ideas

heres an idea for the game creators
use a everquest type of game engine
create a world of prehistoric man fighting against all life
there are npc better and lesser evolved humans
theres plenty of wildlife to fight against
you gotta find food so your skills will require such ideas
quests would involve discovering new tools and skills
untill eventually writing is discovered and the game ends...

well...id probally play it for awhile
make sure its a huge online gaming platform and has modification ability so its unique engine can support tons of other scenarios

call it modification evolution with big silver letters and wait for the game of the years to roll in

just think of it as prehistoric rpg quake 3 and see how long it lasts...

btw, dont waste any time beta-testing it to death
since the longer it plays the better
people wont want to log on to play for 5 minutes and leave completely unsatisfied

disconnected:  I think there is a MMORPG type game under development that is set in prehistoric times ... I read about it but can't remember where.  If I find a link I'll post it.

And I agree, NovaLogic is kinda slippin' as of late, but for me it's always fun to work on beta projects ... if I get in to this one it will be the sixth that I have participated in.
