I personally would call Zelda both of these AND neither of these. It's a RPG/Adventure. It has action elements (real-time battles, etc), but it also has (somewhat) deep character and plot development.
the only zelda game with rpg elements is 'the adenture of link' for the nes, and I don't consider it a rpg, look at 'realms of arkania' series if you wanna see a hardcore rpg game

deep character and plot development should be in all adventure games where you play a person that was setup by the developers, like link in zelda

Try the Phantasy Star Series. Some of the best game play and story line ever in an RPG. I think its better than FF

Well the Phantasy Star Series was only on the Gen. but never the less the best rog ever. Now Chrono Trigger was good for the time. Square could still use some of the help from Enix and the guy who did DragonBall Z(can't rem his name). The Dream Team made a great game but the music was the best aspect of the game. Maybe one day they might get back in bed with eachother and we could have a name worthy of carrying the title of Chrono

I never play RPGs much. The one I played most (not counting Zelda... that's just action/adventure there) was Shining Force on the Sega Smash Pack for the Dreamcast.

As for GBA, I don't play it a lot, but I tell you what, when I went on a week-long "trip" to Tennessee, Tetris and DOOM are lifesavers... more Tetris, though.

Now how about freakin' "Rise of the"-freakin'-"Triad" for the GBA, complete with all the MP modes and goodies... that would be nice, considering I never played MP R.O.T.T. before...

YOUR ALL WRONG! You know what the best RPG was? It was... POKEMON!

The only real RPGS i've played that I can think of are final fantasy and come to think of it, I couldn't tell the difference between an RPG and adventure.

...what? Role-playing-game! You play the role of a commando blasting bad guys to smithereens!
Sort of like the argument I had with my brother about Quake III being a fighting game...

Probably too much action to be a pure RPG, but I bought a SNES after playing Act Raiser at my friends house, and I stil enjoy playing it. But that's just my opinion

No, you should be pissed off more often. Japan cuts features and players and porno scenes and even whole games out of North American releases, AND WE NEED REVENGE!

I omitted the 13 stripes because nobody cares about the Bill of Rights that our founding fathers created, to create the 13 colonies they envisioned.

I left out stars, and instead made a blue stripe because we are now in essence on the way to becoming two seperate nations.

The jagged extending stripes symbolize the failed, shattered attempts to influence other cultures who are the opposite of our own.

All of this was imagined and made by me in MSPaint, and went from concept to reality in under five minutes.

Thoughts?
